The Energy Calculator provides a means to determine the power that will be generated based on the flow in a river or tidal current. This version is simplistic in its approach, assuming a 90% capacity factor for river applications and 30% for tidal applications. It gives a rough estimate of the potential of a site so that a determination of whether to undertake further analysis can be made. |
