The EVG 250T Series power generation system is designed specifically with tidal energy in mind with a design water speed of 4.2 m/s, and flotation designed to withstand the rigors of a wave regime typical in a tidal site.  The 4.8m diameter x 4.8m high rotor is the largest rotor size offered to date.

These systems are suitable for grid connection especially in an array configuration where total output can be in the MW+ range.  The energy produced can be connected directly to the grid or, given the predictability of tidal energy, supplied through an energy management system including storage to provide constant output or even dispatchable energy.
