Projects
New Energy’s initial focus has been to sell water-to-wire power generation systems primarily in fresh water applications. The company has expanded this to include salt water applications, and to also serve as an IPP where opportunities exist.
Technology Manufacturer
New Energy offers power generation systems for remote stand alone applications and grid connected applications in rivers, canals, and industrial outflows. Equipment has been supplied for projects in a number of countries including Canada, the United States, India, Nepal, Myanmar, Oman, the Netherlands, and more. New Energy can function as a pure equipment supplier, or provide installation services and operational training.
Independent Power Producer
New Energy can also operate as an independent power producer by providing power generation equipment for projects and entering into a long term power purchase agreement. These projects typically follow a build-own-operate model where New Energy serves as the general contractor.
Bay of Fundy Tidal Energy Project
New Energy has secured a 15-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) through the Nova Scotia Department of Energy and Mines to be a part of the 10 MW Tidal Energy Project in Canada.
